PROJECT OBJECTIVE
We take the job of supporting and encouraging our interns – and therefore also future designers – very seriously. That’s why we offer them a platform for turning their visions and ideas into reality at the end of their internship: PEARL TALENTS. With the support of experienced designers, interns are able to use the skills and experience they have acquired to create and publish tangible concepts.

CONCEPT
A huge flatscreen and modular surround system operated by means of various remote controls… “What will home entertainment look like in future?” The Helios concept is our interns’ answer:
The HELIOS concept consists of three devices that are connected with one another in the home network. At their centre is HELIOS.01, a control unit that stores information and controls the other devices via WLAN. HELIOS.01 is controlled via an interface projected onto the floor – no mouse, no keyboard, no remote control. HELIOS.02, the speaker, can be positioned anywhere in the room. HELIOS.03, the projector, beams a high-resolution image onto the wall, thus replacing the conventional television.
